What To Expect (Job Responsibilities)
- Ensure all calls routed to the billing phone queue are promptly answered and resolved in accordance with approved billing policies and procedures
- Prepare and post patient payments using electronic or manual methods
- Identify and resolve patient billing complaints effectively
- Evaluate patients’ financial status and establish budget payment plans
- Perform various collection actions, including contacting patients by phone
What Is Required (Qualifications)
- Minimum educational requirement: High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a billing role
- Knowledge of medical billing and collection practices
- Ability to operate a computer, related software, and basic office equipment
- Excellent communication skills with attention to detail and timeliness
How To Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
- Experience working with Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) billing and revenue cycle activities
- Bilingual in oral and written Spanish and English
