Description:

We are hiring for Engineer Cost Control.

Education & Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Finance, or a related field is essential to understand complex project dynamics.
  • A minimum of 7 years’ experience in cost control within the oil and gas construction industry is required.
  • Professional certifications such as Certified Cost Professional (CCP) or Project Management Professional (PMP) are highly preferred.
  • Proficiency in cost management software (e.g., SAP, Primavera) is crucial for effective tracking and reporting.
  • Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail are necessary to accurately assess financial data.
  • Excellent communication abilities to convey complex cost information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proven experience in risk management and mitigation strategies to handle potential cost escalations.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain detailed project cost estimates that reflect the actual scope and schedule of oil and gas construction projects.
  • Implement robust cost control processes to track expenditures against budget and identify variances in real time.
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments to forecast potential cost overruns and propose mitigation strategies proactively.
  • Collaborate with engineering and procurement teams to ensure accurate pricing of materials and labor for project execution.
  • Prepare and present detailed cost reports and forecasts to stakeholders, providing insights for informed decision-making.
  • Utilize advanced software tools for cost management, ensuring data accuracy and real-time reporting capabilities.
  • Facilitate budget reviews and audits, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
  • Assist in contract negotiations, providing cost analysis to secure favorable terms for the organization.
  • Monitor project progress and performance metrics, adjusting cost estimates and forecasts as necessary.
  • Train and mentor junior team members on best practices in cost control and financial analysis within the oil and gas sector.
