Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Web Security Specialist to safeguard our websites against ongoing cyberattacks. Our platforms include WordPress, React, and Laravel-based sites. The ideal candidate will be based in the UAE, have expertise in web security, and demonstrate a proven track record in securing web applications and servers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze, identify, and mitigate vulnerabilities across WordPress, React, and LA ravel sites.
• Implement robust security measures to prevent DDoS, brute force, SQL injection, XSS, and other cyberattacks.
• Conduct regular security audits, penetration testing, and vulnerability assessments.
• Monitor traffic and activities on websites to identify and respond to suspicious behaviors in real-time.
• Develop and implement firewall rules, secure configurations, and other best practices.
• Ensure proper security configurations for web servers, databases, and APIs.
• Stay updated on the latest security trends, tools, and technologies.
• Work with the development team to establish secure coding standards and resolve potential vulnerabilities.
• Provide recommendations for long-term security strategies and policies.

Requirements:

• Experience: 3+ years in web security, with hands-on experience securing WordPress, React, and Laravel sites.
• Technical Expertise: Proficiency in firewalls, security plugins, WAFs (Web Application Firewalls), and monitoring tools.
• Knowledge of Attacks: Strong understanding of common web application vulnerabilities and OWASP Top 10 threats.
• Certifications (Preferred): CEH, CISSP, CompTIA Security+, or similar certifications.

Skills:

• Expertise in server security (Linux, Apache, Nginx).
• Familiarity with securing RESTful APIs and third-party integrations.
• Experience with tools like SSL/TLS, malware scanners, and intrusion detection systems.
• Communication: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.
• Location: Must be based in the UAE and available for on-site meetings if required.
