Job Summary:

As the head chef, you will be the driving force behind our kitchen operations. You’ll be responsible for overseeing the creation of our menu, maintaining high culinary standards, managing a talented team of chefs and kitchen staff, and ensuring that every dish meets our rigorous quality expectations. You will play a key role in maintaining kitchen efficiency, cleanliness, and compliance with all health and safety regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the kitchen team, ensuring smooth daily operations.
  • Develop, implement, and refine the restaurant’s menu, keeping it fresh, innovative, and aligned with guest preferences and seasonal ingredients.
  • Oversee the preparation, cooking, and presentation of food, maintaining the highest standards of taste, consistency, and presentation.
  • Supervise food inventory, ordering, and stock control to ensure quality and reduce waste.
  • Train, mentor, and develop kitchen staff, fostering a positive and efficient work environment.
  • Ensure adherence to food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
  • Collaborate with the front-of-house team to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.
  • Manage kitchen budgets, including cost control and labor management, to ensure profitability.
  • Stay updated on culinary trends and incorporate new techniques and ideas into the menu as appropriate.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Head Chef, Executive Chef, or in a senior kitchen role in a reputable restaurant.
  • Knowledge in Sushi/Robata.
  • Extensive knowledge of culinary techniques, menu development, and food presentation.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a high-pressure environment.
  • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to work well with both kitchen and front-of-house teams.
  • In-depth knowledge of food safety, sanitation practices, and kitchen equipment.
  • A culinary degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
  • Passion for food and creating a memorable guest experience.
