In my current role as Assistant Manager Finance at Evergreen Shipping Agency Lanka (Pvt) Ltd, I have honed my skills in financial reporting, budgeting, and strategic planning. I am responsible for overseeing financial operations, managing audits, and ensuring compliance with all relevant tax regulations. My ability to analyze financial data and implement cost-saving initiatives has consistently contributed to the company’s profitability.
Prior to this, I served as a Senior Account Executive at Hemas Maritime (Pvt) Ltd (Agent for Evergreen Marine Corporation Taiwan) , where I managed complex financial processes and led a team in the preparation of financial reports. My experience extends to earlier roles at Mazu Shipping (Pvt) Ltd (NVOCC company)Â , Mc Larence Logistics (Pvt) Ltd (NVOCC & Freight Forwarding Company) , Mc Larence Containers (Pvt) Ltd (Containers handling, storage & refurbishment company ) Â and Commercial Insurance Brokers Company (Pvt) Ltd, where I developed a deep understanding of financial management in various capacities, from account executive to assistant accountant.
My educational background includes a Bachelor of Business Management in Accountancy (Special Degree) from the University of Kelaniya, Sri Lanka, along with professional certifications such as Certified Business Accountant from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka and Associate Management Accountant from the Institute of Management Accountants of Sri Lanka. I am also an Associate Member of the Certified Management Accountants of Sri Lanka.
