Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Waiter cum Cashier to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced dining environment. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional customer service skills and a passion for the food industry. This role involves serving guests, managing transactions, and ensuring a memorable dining experience while adhering to food safety and sanitation standards.

Duties

  • Provide excellent customer service by greeting guests, taking orders, and answering questions about menu items.
  • Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, and OpenTable for order processing and payment transactions.
  • Assist in food preparation and ensure proper food handling techniques are followed.
  • Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including bussing tables and ensuring sanitation standards are met.
  • Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently while providing receipts to guests.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service of food and beverages.
  • Address guest concerns promptly to ensure satisfaction and foster positive guest relations.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in food service or restaurant settings is preferred, with fine dining experience being a plus.
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to multitask in a busy environment.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and sanitation practices.
  • Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction processing.
  • Culinary experience or kitchen background is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication skills with a focus on guest services and hospitality.
