Description:
PetroChina International (Middle East) Company Limited (PCIME), a wholly-owned subsidiary of PetroChina International Company Limited, is seeking a skilled Finance Accountant to join its Dubai office. The company operates across the Middle East, Eastern and Northern Africa, Gulf area, and South Asia, focusing on trading crude oil, refined oil products, and petrochemical materials.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, and reconciling transactions to ensure accuracy.
- Ensure timely and accurate closure of books in compliance with IFRS standards.
- Prepare month-end reports including depreciation, prepaid expenses, and accrued expenses.
- Record and monitor invoices, payments, and vendor accounts efficiently.
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors during quarterly and annual audits.
- Ensure VAT/CIT compliance and liaise with the Federal Tax Authority as required.
- Assist in financial documentation, variance analysis, and reporting to maintain reporting accuracy.
Requirements:
- Solid understanding of financial accounting, auditing, and compliance processes.
- Experience in financial reporting, reconciliation, and variance analysis within multinational environments.
- Knowledge of IAS and IFRS reporting requirements.
- Familiarity with SAP is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Professional certifications such as ACCA, CFA, CPA, or CMA are a plus.
