The Food Safety & Hygiene Officer will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of food safety and hygiene within our pre-cut fruits and vegetable operations. This role will oversee the implementation and monitoring of food safety management systems, conduct regular inspections, and provide training to staff to maintain compliance with regulatory and company standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular quality checks on sanitized and pre-cut fruits and vegetables.
- Monitor and enforce food safety standards and regulatory compliance.
- Implement Companies quality control procedures and protocols.
- Perform microbiological and chemical testing to ensure product safety.
- Maintain detailed records of quality assessments and corrective actions.
- Collaborate with the production team to identify and resolve quality issues.
- Train staff on quality assurance and control practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 1 year experience in food safety & hygiene management, preferably in the fresh produce industry
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and standards (e.g., HACCP, ISO 22000).
- Strong communication skills in English.
