Description:

General Manager – FMCG Manufacturing (UAE)

Our client, a leading FMCG manufacturing company specializing in beauty, perfumes, and personal care products is looking to hire a General Manager/Business Head.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and implementation of the business unit’s strategic objectives, ensuring alignment with the company’s overall goals.
  • Drive revenue and profitability growth through effective business development, marketing, and customer acquisition strategies.
  • Analyze market trends, customer demands, and competitive dynamics to identify growth opportunities and areas for improvement.
  • P&L responsibility for the business unit, including revenue generation, cost control, and profitability.
  • Monitor financial performance, analyze variances, and implement corrective actions to meet or exceed financial targets.
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting processes to ensure effective financial oversight and resource allocation.
  • Oversee the end-to-end manufacturing and supply chain processes to ensure timely delivery of products, efficient production, and high-quality standards.
  • Manage vendor and supplier relationships to ensure the availability of raw materials and components at the best quality and cost.
  • Ensure optimal production scheduling, capacity planning, and inventory management to meet market demand and reduce operational disruptions.
  • Identify and implement innovative manufacturing techniques to enhance productivity and product quality.
  • Lead, develop, and motivate cross-functional teams including production, supply chain, marketing, HR, and finance.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop brand strategies and ensure alignment with product development and market positioning.
  • Monitor customer feedback and market trends to ensure product offerings meet consumer preferences and expectations.
  • Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations, as well as industry-specific standards (e.g., beauty, fragrance, and personal care products).
  • Develop and implement risk management strategies to mitigate operational, financial, and reputational risks.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.

Experience:

  • 20+ years of experience in a senior management role, preferably within the FMCG sector, with a strong background in beauty, perfumes, or personal care manufacturing.
  • Proven track record of managing P&L, driving growth, and leading cross-functional teams.
  • In-depth knowledge of supply chain management, production processes, and quality control in FMCG manufacturing.
