Position Context

Al Rifai UAE is seeking an experienced Project Manager of Store Projects & Maintenance to lead physical retail development and technical facilities management across its UAE locations. Operating from Dubai, this position oversees the full lifecycle of new outlet setups and renovation works—securing mall management clearances, directing contractors, auditing construction layouts, and managing preventative and reactive maintenance budgets to keep retail properties running optimally.

Operational Scope

  • Coordinate and supervise all store fit-out projects and scheduled property maintenance cycles for Al Rifai retail sites in the UAE.

  • Liaise directly with mall operations teams and municipal offices to secure work permits, design approvals, and operational clearance certificates.

  • Supervise third-party contractors and vendors to keep tasks moving within established project parameters, design guidelines, and budgets.

  • Evaluate, cross-reference, and interpret highly technical mechanical, electrical, plumbing (MEP), and interior fit-out construction layouts.

  • Identify project risks, design delays, and site constraints, and deploy fast, cost-effective solutions to mitigate business disruptions.

Target Candidate Profile

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Interior Design, or a related field.

  • Professional History: 3 to 5 years of active project coordination and retail/commercial maintenance management.

  • Technical Programs: Competency in reading architectural files and working with AutoCAD, Adobe applications, 3D Max, and modern project management software.

  • Key Skills: Outstanding communication skills to align goals across landlord representatives, fit-out crews, and internal business departments.
