Position Profile

Belvedere International School in Al Ain is recruiting a compassionate School Social Worker to strengthen its student welfare and safeguarding framework. This role focuses on delivering non-therapeutic support to students and families navigating personal or social challenges, coordinating with educators and parents to build intervention strategies, and cultivating a safe, inclusive academic environment.

Main Duties

  • Offer non-therapeutic social guidance and advisory support to students and families dealing with complex personal circumstances.

  • Partner with school administrators, instructional staff, parents, and community resources to elevate student wellbeing.

  • Assess individual student welfare needs to design and execute targeted behavioral or social support interventions.

  • Drive institutional safeguarding protocols to maintain a secure and supportive school climate.

  • Log, manage, and maintain confidential case files and behavioral tracking documentation in line with regulatory guidelines.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Educational Credentials: Bachelor’s Degree (QFE Level 7) in Social Work/Social Service with a minimum of 2 years of youth-focused experience, OR a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Counseling, Youth Development, Sociology, or a related field with at least 4 years of youth-focused experience.

  • Licensure & Compliance: Mandatory Department of Community Development (DCD) license alongside full compliance with ADEK eligibility standards.

  • Linguistic Skills: Native Arabic speaker with professional working proficiency in spoken and written English.

  • Domain Mastery: Grounded understanding of youth safeguarding principles, family advisory frameworks, and school-based welfare coordination.
