Role Summary
The Senior Tax Associate will be a key member of our tax department, responsible for leading client engagements, providing proactive tax advice, and mentoring junior staff. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, team-oriented, and able to manage complex assignments with independence and confidence.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation and review of VAT and Corporate Tax filings for a portfolio of clients.
- Provide clear and practical tax advice to clients across various industries.
- Stay updated with the latest tax legislation, FTA regulations, and Ministry of Finance updates.
- Respond to client queries with precision and insight, ensuring clarity and confidence.
- Proactively identify tax risks and opportunities, and propose actionable strategies.
- Support clients during tax audits and liaise with FTA for clarifications and assessments.
- Guide, train, and supervise junior team members, fostering a culture of learning and excellence.
- Collaborate with other departments (Accounting, AML, Business Setup) for integrated solutions.
- Contribute to internal knowledge sharing and thought leadership initiatives.
Key Requirements
- Degree plus professional certification such as CA, ACCA.
- Minimum 5 years of tax experience in the UAE, preferably in a professional services firm.
- Strong understanding of UAE VAT, Corporate Tax, OECD Pillar 2, GMTT, and ability to render correct advice.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills – written and verbal.
- Demonstrated leadership qualities with the ability to inspire and guide a team.
- Proactive, highly analytical, and client-focused mindset.
- Proficient in MS Office and tax/accounting software (e.g., Zoho, QuickBooks, Tally).
- Fluency in English is essential.
