Job Vacancy Focus

International Development Company (IDC) is seeking an experienced Solar Project Manager to join its growing Renewable Energy team in Abu Dhabi. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead the design, execution, and delivery of innovative solar energy projects while managing multiple project phases efficiently.

Core Competencies

  • Design Grid-Connected, Off-Grid, and Hybrid Solar PV systems, alongside the integration of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).

  • Prepare technical proposals, Bills of Quantities (BOQs), cost estimates, and techno-commercial tender submissions.

  • Generate functional AutoCAD drawings, including Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), physical layouts, electrical drawings, panel GA, and cable routing.

  • Lead project planning, draft execution schedules, and coordinate directly with clients, consultants, contractors, and suppliers.

  • Supervise on-site installation, testing, commissioning, and final handover documentation, while supporting ongoing Operation and Maintenance (O&M) activities.

  • Facilitate business development initiatives through client presentations, vendor evaluations, procurement support, and technical clarifications.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Renewable Energy.

  • Software Proficiency: Hands-on experience with PVsyst, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office.

  • Core Knowledge: Advanced understanding of electrical systems, low-voltage (LV) distribution, and electrical protection systems.

  • Industry Assets: A valid UAE Driving Licence is preferred. Past experience managing Solar Projects for Oil & Gas applications (such as remote well sites, instrumentation loads, telecommunications, or cathodic protection systems) is a significant advantage.
