Experience Required: Minimum 4 years of experience in site documentation, with mandatory UAE experience

Position Profile

EMRIOM UAE has an immediate opening for a methodical and disciplined Document Controller to oversee construction site documentation. This position is responsible for managing the intake, categorization, distribution, and archiving of technical drawings, correspondence, and project files, ensuring complete alignment with local engineering standards.

Main Duties

  • Manage, catalog, and control all engineering drawings, technical submittals, construction specifications, and site records.

  • Maintain organized physical and digital document registries to ensure quick retrieval of project data.

  • Control the distribution of incoming drawings and documents, ensuring all project managers and site engineers have access to the latest approved revisions.

  • Perform quality checks on submitted documents and files, verifying proper naming conventions and format compliance.

  • Collaborate closely with contractors, sub-contractors, and internal engineering teams to track the approval status of crucial documentation.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree required.

  • Professional Background: At least 4 years of hands-on experience handling complex site documentation on active construction projects, with a proven track record working within the UAE.

  • Technical Frameworks: Competent operating Electronic Document Management Systems (EDMS) alongside core Microsoft Office productivity applications.

  • Core Aptitudes: High attention to detail, strong organizing habits, and the capacity to meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced site environment.
