Salary: AED 4,000 to 7,000 (Estimated)

Experience Required: Minimum 1 year of experience in Retail, F&B, or Hospitality (Retail experience is an added advantage)

Role Overview

WHSmith is seeking enthusiastic and customer-focused Sales Associates to join its retail operations at Abu Dhabi Airport and Abu Dhabi Hospital locations. The position focuses on delivering high-quality guest interactions, managing point-of-sale systems, and supporting general stock floor management within a fast-paced retail environment.

Primary Accountabilities

  • Deliver exceptional customer service to travelers and visitors, creating a positive and efficient shopping experience.

  • Assist customers with product inquiries, locate stock items, and process transactions accurately using POS cash register systems.

  • Support daily store operations, including stock management, inventory replenishment, and organized product merchandising.

  • Maintain strict store cleanliness, ensuring shelves are dust-free and products are displayed according to company visual guidelines.

  • Work collaboratively with team members to achieve daily store sales objectives and uphold customer service standards at all times.

Core Competencies

  • Education: Graduate degree or above.

  • Professional Background: At least 1 year of hands-on experience inside a fast-paced retail storefront, food & beverage outlet, or hospitality environment.

  • Technical & Scheduling Skills: Basic operational knowledge of computer applications and cash registers, alongside a total willingness to work flexible rotating shifts (including weekends, holidays, and overnight flight schedules).

  • Interpersonal Traits: Clear communication skills, an outgoing personality, and a customer-first approach under high-volume store traffic.
