Role Overview

A prominent organization in the oil and gas sector is seeking a highly experienced Data Management Engineer to join its project team in Abu Dhabi. This specialized position focuses on extracting, organizing, and standardizing critical well log datasets while supporting Final Well Report (FWR) analysis for large-scale energy operations.

Primary Accountabilities

  • Extract detailed logging programs and raw borehole information directly from Final Well Reports (FWR).

  • Build and oversee a comprehensive inventory of acquired well data, systematically mapping gaps and physical digitization requirements.

  • Standardize complex historical and new logging data structures into the mandated ProSource format.

  • Efficiently load verified well information into PSE systems and populate well logs into structural PSL databases.

  • Generate accurate weekly and monthly progress reports while executing strict quality control and data consistency metrics across all active energy datasets.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Geology, Geophysics, Earth Sciences, or a closely related petroleum discipline.

  • Technical Frameworks: Comprehensive, practical knowledge of database environments such as PSE and PSL, alongside advanced data standardization workflows (ProSource).

  • Domain Background: 10+ years of deep expertise managing well log datasets, interpreting FWR documentation, and analyzing technical logging sequences.

  • Systems Proficiency: Strong operational mastery of Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and professional PDF handling workflows.
