A prominent medical equipment and drug supply operation in Dubai is hosting an open recruitment day for a highly analytical General Accountant. This position takes charge of full-cycle fiscal reporting, statutory VAT computations, digital ledger maintenance, and corporate account reconciliations to preserve total financial precision across the organization’s retail and distribution channels.

Core Accountabilities

  • Administer localized VAT accounting procedures and construct detailed monthly financial compliance reports.

  • Monitor customer credit terms, review aging reports, update statements of account (SOA) punctually, and manage collection follow-ups.

  • Supervise the corporate general ledger, log all structural company transactions with accurate source documentation, and format automated billing files.

  • Audit and verify incoming supplier account balances before endorsing corporate payment disbursement requests.

  • Execute thorough monthly bank statements, customer ledgers, and vendor balance reconciliations.

  • Investigate, research, and resolve complex transactional ledger discrepancies or balancing anomalies.

  • Manage operational accounting logs for accounts receivable portfolios, secure cash deposits, prepaid schedules, and accrued expense accounts.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Academic Foundation: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or an equivalent numerical discipline.

  • Software Competency: Proven experience navigating Zoho Books or highly comparable enterprise accounting software suites.

  • Technical Mastery: Advanced command of Microsoft Excel for data analysis alongside high-level accuracy in financial records administration.

  • Communication Traits: Professional verbal and written English linguistic capacities paired with sharp attention to detail.
