Role Overview

A reputable organization in Abu Dhabi is seeking an experienced Accountant to join its Finance team. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented accounting professional with strong knowledge of financial reporting, VAT compliance, and day-to-day accounting operations within the UAE.

Core Duties

• Manage daily accounting operations, maintain accurate bookkeeping records, and handle the general ledger.

• Prepare and submit VAT returns in strict accordance with UAE Federal Tax Authority (FTA) regulations.

• Perform routine bank reconciliations and manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and petty cash transactions.

• Assist with month-end and year-end financial closing activities, preparing financial statements and management reports.

• Ensure ongoing compliance with IFRS, UAE VAT regulations, and internal corporate financial policies.

• Provide necessary documentation and support during internal and external audit processes.

Core Competencies

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

• Software Proficiency: High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and modern ERP systems; direct experience with Odoo software is considered a distinct advantage.

• Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of IFRS standards, UAE VAT laws, and comprehensive ledger management.

• Soft Skills: Excellent analytical, organizational, and professional communication skills.
