Position Profile

Mohd Al Qama General Trading Co. LLC is searching for a meticulous and organized Accountant to manage daily corporate ledger operations. Operating within the Finance & Accounts division in Dubai, this position takes ownership of bookkeeping transactions, accounts payable/receivable cycles, cash flow monitoring, monthly bank reconciliations, inventory accounting, and UAE VAT compliance.

Main Duties

  • Log and maintain all financial transactions, journal entries, invoices, and debit/credit notes inside the enterprise ERP.

  • Supervise accounts payable schedules to ensure timely supplier payouts, and monitor accounts receivable portfolios to follow up on outstanding client balances.

  • Perform daily cash position checks, execute bank and petty cash reconciliations, and compile monthly general ledger reports.

  • Process monthly financial statements, including Profit & Loss balances, Balance Sheets, and Cash Flow projections.

  • Coordinate with warehouse and sales personnel to reconcile physical inventory counts, track stock movements, and calculate Cost of Goods Sold (COGS).

  • Draft and submit VAT returns in strict compliance with UAE Federal Tax Authority (FTA) guidelines, and prepare supporting schedules for external auditors.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce. (An active professional certification such as ACCA, CMA, CPA, or CA Inter is a strong advantage).

  • Technical Savvy: High competency utilizing accounting software (e.g., Tally, SAP Business One, Microsoft Dynamics, or Oracle ERP) along with advanced Excel modeling skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP).

  • Domain Expertise: Solid working knowledge of UAE tax regulations, inventory valuations, corporate cost control, and financial reporting.

  • Language Capabilities: Professional communication skills in English are required; Arabic language skills are highly beneficial.
