Position Profile

Be Bright is seeking a analytical and detail-driven Accountant specializing in Statutory Accounting to join its financial operations team in Dubai. This role focuses on maintaining statutory books, managing month-end and year-end ledger closures, preparing external audit files, and ensuring full compliance with IFRS standards, UAE VAT guidelines, and corporate tax regulations.

Main Duties

  • Compile and maintain statutory books of accounts in strict accordance with IFRS frameworks.

  • Execute month-end and year-end closing procedures, including posting journal entries, calculating accruals, managing prepayments, and tracking provisions.

  • Prepare comprehensive audit schedules and act as a key liaison for statutory and external auditors.

  • Generate essential financial statements, including the balance sheet, profit and loss statements, and trial balances.

  • Manage tax compliance duties, including UAE VAT filings, corporate tax reporting, FTA portal reconciliations, and regulatory registration tasks.

  • Perform balance sheet reconciliations covering bank accounts, accounts receivable/payable, fixed assets, inventory, and intercompany transactions.

  • Produce valid sales invoices compliant with FTA regulations and record their corresponding accounting entries.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field.

  • Technical Frameworks: Practical proficiency in ERP systems, Tally, and advanced Microsoft Excel formulas.

  • Domain Expertise: Strong knowledge of IFRS financial reporting, general ledger reconciliation workflows, and UAE tax laws (VAT and Corporate Tax).

  • Core Aptitudes: High numerical accuracy, methodical organization, and clear communication skills necessary for audit and team collaboration.
