Position Profile

A prominent construction organization in Dubai is seeking an experienced Civil Draftsman specializing in structural and architectural disciplines. Operating out of the project office, this technical role involves developing comprehensive shop drawings, coordinating structural plans with architects and site engineers, and maintaining strict compliance with local building authority standards across major high-rise developments.

Main Duties

  • Draft detailed structural and architectural shop drawings for large-scale building construction developments.

  • Produce clear technical schematics, structural layouts, and architectural plan sets utilizing Advanced AutoCAD software.

  • Coordinate drawing submittals with structural engineers, project architects, lead consultants, and site supervisors.

  • Review structural specifications to implement design modifications and structural updates into revised draft sets.

  • Ensure all technical drawings comply with UAE municipality building codes, engineering rules, and site safety frameworks.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Drafting, Architecture, or a closely related field.

  • Professional Background: Minimum of 5 years of hands-on UAE experience working directly with building contractors, including the completed delivery of at least one high-rise project.

  • Technical Mastery: Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD and specialized 2D/3D technical drafting platforms.

  • Domain Knowledge: Thorough understanding of structural load layouts, architectural detail joins, engineering documentation, and local UAE site coordination routines.
