Role Overview
Givens Transportation is seeking an organized Data Entry / Billing Clerk to join its operations in Chesapeake, Virginia. This position is responsible for processing inbound logistics order entries, managing invoice preparation workflows, maintaining billing precision, and handling database administration within dedicated Transportation Management Systems (TMS) to support internal and external customer profiles.
Primary Accountabilities

Administer full-cycle order entry workflows for assigned commercial transportation accounts.

Audit multi-source transactional documentation to guarantee all freight charges are flawlessly logged and billed.

Compile, generate, and distribute client invoices within designated company timelines.

Input and maintain real-time freight movement tracking data inside specialized logistics administrative software.

Address client and internal inquiries efficiently, leveraging Microsoft 365 platforms to reconcile documentation errors.

Balance changing logistical workflows while ensuring the timely processing of high-volume clerical tasks.
Skills & Experience Required

Education: High School Diploma is required.

Core Competencies: Clear, professional verbal and written communication traits, strong data reconciliation abilities, and acute attention to detail.

Technical Frameworks: Deep proficiency navigating the Microsoft Office Suite, with specific emphasis on Microsoft Excel for building reporting spreadsheets and auditing data logs.

Preferred Assets: Prior administrative experience within the transportation sector (specifically drayage or truckload freight models) along with hands-on exposure to Trinium TMS software.
