Role Overview
An expanding international organization in the Construction and Civil Engineering sector is seeking a skilled General Accountant to support its growing operations in the UAE. The position takes full ownership of the complete accounting cycle, ensuring strict compliance with local financial regulations and tax requirements while maintaining precision across all corporate ledgers.
Primary Accountabilities

Manage the full-cycle corporate accounting infrastructure, including general ledger maintenance, accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and cash flow tracking.

Compile and deliver accurate monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reports for management review.

Oversee corporate compliance regarding UAE accounting frameworks and Federal Tax Authority (FTA) VAT regulations.

Process vendor and subcontractor payments while issuing precise project client invoices on schedule.

Coordinate directly with external auditors to facilitate regular financial audits and maintain secure, orderly transaction archives.
Skills & Experience Required

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related financial discipline.

Professional Background: 5 or more years of proven accounting experience, with a solid preference for individuals from the construction, infrastructure, or civil engineering space.

Technical Aptitude: Deep working knowledge of regional VAT implementation rules and advanced proficiency navigating modern ERP accounting platforms.

Language Skills: Fluent verbal and written communication skills in English are mandatory; supplementary proficiency in French or Arabic is considered a strong asset.
