Job Summary
AlphaStaffHCM is seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to join its remote payroll operations team. This position is responsible for processing payroll for multiple client organizations across various states while ensuring payroll accuracy, regulatory compliance, and exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will have a strong payroll background, experience with HRIS platforms, and the ability to manage multiple client accounts in a fast-paced environment.
Primary Accountabilities

Process, review, and verify payrolls for multiple clients, ensuring absolute accuracy before final transmission.

Generate pre-posting payroll reports and collaborate with internal IT teams to design customized client documentation.

Support ongoing enhancements and quality assurance testing for platforms including Prism, Cloud Storage, and Salesforce.

Maintain complex payroll records, pay codes, job positions, PTO adjustments, and general ledger configurations.

Create payroll import templates and lead specialized payroll software training sessions for external clients.

Troubleshoot system access issues in tandem with internal Client Technology support divisions.
Skills & Experience Required

Education: Associate Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Human Resources, or a related field (Bachelor’s Degree preferred).

Certifications: Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) or Certified Payroll Specialist (CPS) designation is highly preferred.

Technical Frameworks: Deep experience with Prism PEO Software is preferred, alongside Salesforce, Outlook, and advanced Microsoft Excel (formulas, filters, and pivot tables).

Core Competencies: Comprehensive understanding of multi-state payroll processing, payroll compliance regulations, and asynchronous client account management.
