Position Profile

Delta-MEP is hiring an experienced Safety Officer to direct health, safety, and environmental (HSE) compliance across its active mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) construction sites. This field-based position focuses on enforcing regulatory safety standards, conducting daily hazard assessments, leading emergency response drills, and minimizing operational risks to secure an accident-free work environment.

Main Duties

• Execute daily worksite safety sweeps and structural inspections to confirm total alignment with corporate HSE guidelines and UAE construction laws.

• Evaluate ongoing high-risk construction activities, identify potential physical hazards, and implement immediate corrective or preventive protocols.

• Coordinate the site’s Permit-to-Work (PTW) system, auditing task applications to verify that sub-contractors follow safe engineering practices.

• Lead daily site toolbox talks, initial safety inductions for incoming personnel, and comprehensive workplace emergency response simulations.

• Analyze safety near-misses or onsite incidents, assembling detailed forensic investigation updates and metric reports for project management.

• Organize and protect up-to-date HSE documentation, regulatory check logs, and physical safety records for external auditing.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Domain Mastery: Comprehensive command of UAE HSE legal frameworks, risk assessment methodology, and specialized MEP safety codes.

• Interpersonal Traits: Authoritative yet collaborative communication style, with the practical ability to train diverse workforces and handle complex safety disputes.

• Availability: Candidates who are immediately available to mobilize and join the project layout will be heavily prioritized.
