Position Profile

Sakina – SEHA is seeking a qualified, Arabic-speaking Clinical Psychologist to join its mental health faculty in Abu Dhabi. The position focuses on conducting diagnostic psychological evaluations, administering evidence-based therapeutic interventions, and collaborating within a multidisciplinary clinical team to provide comprehensive psychiatric care within a structured hospital setting.

Main Duties

  • Conduct deep clinical assessments, diagnostic interviews, and objective behavioral evaluations for a diverse patient population.

  • Formulate and implement customized, evidence-based psychological treatment structures (e.g., CBT, systemic therapy).

  • Partner closely with staff psychiatrists, medical practitioners, and case managers to coordinate comprehensive wellness plans.

  • Log and update highly precise clinical case notes, intake files, and treatment progression documentation in line with medical network mandates.

  • Deliver crisis interventions and supportive counseling frameworks to patients and their family networks during acute clinical episodes.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Education: Master’s or Doctoral Degree in Clinical Psychology earned from an accredited higher education institution.

  • Licensure: An active Department of Health (DOH) Abu Dhabi practitioner license or a formal DOH eligibility determination letter is mandatory.

  • Language Capabilities: Native or professional-grade bilingual fluency in spoken and written Arabic is an absolute prerequisite for this role.

  • Professional Background: 2 to 3 years of hands-on experience practicing psychotherapy within an inpatient hospital or structured outpatient mental health environment.
