Job Summary

A leading commercial entity operating within the FMCG and General Trade space is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented General Accountant to join its finance team in Dubai. The successful candidate will spearhead daily accounting workflows, maintain impeccable financial accuracy, govern payables and receivables pipelines, and manage strict regulatory VAT compliance in a high-volume trading environment.

Primary Accountabilities

  • Execute day-to-day general ledger operations and maintain pristine financial transaction records.

  • Oversee structural Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) workflows, monitoring customer aging reports and vendor lines.

  • Track, verify, and systematically process financial documentation coupled with import and export logistics records.

  • Enforce absolute compliance with regional UAE VAT regulations, formulating returns and upholding internal financial policies.

  • Facilitate structured month-end financial closing activities, balancing ledger reconciliations and supporting comprehensive accounting reviews.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a closely related academic discipline.

  • Industry Insights: 3 to 6 years of solid accounting experience; candidates possessing a distinct background inside the FMCG, distribution, or import/export trading sectors will be prioritized.

  • Technical Mastery: In-depth, mandatory working knowledge of UAE VAT rules, multi-currency invoicing, and standard commercial reconciliation models.

  • Functional Traits: Highly analytical mindset with specialized expertise in financial reporting and general bookkeeping protocols.
